stone mortar (carved).* One pecked decorated bowl returned from Grant County Public Utility District, Wanapum Dam Heritage Center on January 25, 1995. These materials were originally sent to Grant County PUD for future exchange (see Borrower's Agreement - 1966), but the exchange papers were never drawn up. Since this material was only loaned, not deaccessioned, the Grant County PUD returned it to the Burke. (L. Phillips, 1/26/95). Six incised lines from rim to base on one side. Some sor tof residue on rim and inside "bowl." (6/95). *Information is from the original accession ledger.

7/15/93:vma. No Accession File, info fm Accession Ledger which states "mortar & Large basalt mortar. Locality: Oregon So. of Portland, site on Wilamette River. Identified by D.O. Mortar, broken into at least three pieces and glued previously; exterior surfaces are rough, interior and adjoining surface is smooth.
