A bolo tie consisting of a braided leather cord (part a) with cone shaped metal caps at each end. A rectangular copper plaque (part b) fits over two sides of the cord, and is secured with metal clips on the back. The copper design features a killer whale in profile with cross-hatching. Artist inscription on back.

Along the length of the tie at regular intervals are woven red flower motifs. Each end holds a double row of small white beads, with pairs of the same situated evenly along the centre portion of the cord.

Tie is made of many strands of dyed wool in red, green, pink and unprocessed tan, woven into designs such as dots, ‘x’ shapes, bows, and triangles, each branch differing from the others. Ends are unwoven and hang as tassels. At somewhat irregular intervals along both edges of four branches are attached small glass beads in a variety of colours.
