Poncho style tunic made of two long rectangular pieces folded at the top and sewn down the side and the centre. A small area was left open for the arms; slit opening for the neck. The textile is light brown with striped bands of green, blue and pink on the centre and the sides. The middle is decorated with black and brown painted geometrical designs. Wide painted black band at bottom.
Woven black cotton rectangle tunic with white cotton embroidered and braided trim at one end, the other is hemmed. The head opening is a 27 cm. slit woven into the fabric lengthwise. The narrow white embroidered decoration runs across one end of the fabric near the edge. The ends and centre of the embroidered trim are braided. The fringe edge of the fabric is also braided.
The rectangular textile has many step-triangle patches in red, yellow, dark blue and green sewn together. Most patches have a pattern of light coloured circles and across one end, a diagonal line. The lines in the patches are arranged throughout the textile to form diamond shapes. Other patches have large red diamond shapes with a dot in the centre on a yellow-orange background. The patches are sewn together with a dark blue thread. The textile is approximately one half of a tunic. Z-spun, two ply s.
Two rectangular textile fragments of yellow and white slit tapestry with design bands separated by horizontal stripes (part a and b). The major design band, which appears on both fragments, is a series of chevrons with avian-feline(?) composites, triangles and interlocking spirals in adjacent chevrons. Part a, the larger fragment, also has a band of profile birds and another of interlocking spirals. A separately woven fringe is sewn to the warp selvedge. Fragments of blue sewing thread remain on the single weft selvedge.
Tunic sewn from flour sacks covered with eagle feathers. Front and back sections join with ties at the sides. Horizontal rows of dark and light eagle feathers sewn on both front and back. Eagle down attached.
