A straight pin made of a gold-coloured metal with a set glass piece or gem. The pin contains an oval-shaped finial created with twelve scallop shapes along the edge. The glass piece (or gem) is set in the finial. A zigzag pattern of incised lines radiates out from the finial centre to each of the scallop edges. These lines continue across the neck of the pin and part of the way down the shaft. This pattern can be found on both sides of the pin.

The handle of the whip is made out of wood and it has been capped in metal sheeting at the ends. There are also five metal bands along the shaft. The metal ends and the bands have been secured with three small nails in each. The bands and one of the ends have been perforated with small holes. The top end of the handle has been fitted with a metal ring that supports a short and tightly braided leather loop. There is a hole through the metal tip at the bottom of the handle and a leather strap has been attached through this hole. The leather strap, the stock, supports a long length of tightly braided leather rope. This leather rope, the thong, ends with a small fringe. It has been twisted, the leather has stiffened, and it will no longer straighten.

A wooden staff with six metal bands along the shaft and tipped metal ends. The tip of the staff is pointed. A metal wire extends through a hole in the staff near the top, above the second metal band. This wire secures two metal coins and a metal hook/clasp that has been hinged and shaped to rest flush against the cylindrical shaft. There is a coin on each side of the staff, both read "Republica del Ecuador". There are also some short decorative ribbons located at the same point as the coins and clasp. There is a cotton ribbon striped dark yellow, blue and red and wool ribbons in blue, green, and red.

The base yellow-white colour of the undyed cabuya fibre has been decorated with four vertical columns of angular, hand-like shapes that are each composed of five horizontal stripes. The inner and outer prongs/stripes are positioned on a diagonal and the three prongs/stripes in the middle are straight. The straps have unique colour schemes. One strap has been braided with black and undyed strands of cabuya fibre. One strap has been braided with yellow and undyed strands of cabuya fibre. One strand has been braided with pink and undyed strands of cabuya fibre. The last strap has been braided with orange and undyed strands of cabuya fibre.

A rounded, multi-coloured, tightly woven basket bag with four braided straps. The bag has been decorated with four vertical, overlapping columns of stacked, multi-coloured lozenge shapes. The braided straps are different colours. Two of them have been braided with dark purple and undyed strands of cabuya fibre, with bits of orange. One strap has been braided with dark orange and undyed strands of cabuya fibre. The fourth strap has been braided with light orange, dark orange, and undyed strands of cabuya fibre. The straps are thicker at the base, where they attach to the basket, and they all taper to thin ends.

The base yellow-white colour of the undyed cabuya fibre has been decorated with seven single-colour horizontal stripes. The stripes have been placed in the following order: dark blue, green, dark blue, purple, yellow, red, green. A multi-coloured circle has been woven on the bottom of the bag. This circle is dark blue, yellow, green, and red. The straps have been braided with green, purple, and undyed cabuya fibre strands.
