Small cylindrical basket (a) with a fitted lid (b); lid is held in place by a cedar flange attached around the upper rim of the basket. Sides: one row of black on bottom rim; lower ribbon of brown/yellow/green/yellow/brown; central band of two rows of black scallops (one row pointing up, one row pointing down). Lid: sides have a black/natural/green/orange/ green/natural/black; ribbon of black figures on yellow ground, outlined in red and flanked by series of red two-stitch lines; central circular motif is maroon/purple/natural/black. Base: plaited origin and plain twined weaving (over wide warp strands). Sides and lid are in twisted twined work.

Natural and red cedar root coiled basket. Simple coiled work (bifurcated stitches) and parallel slat base construction. Foot is one row of splint foundation and one of a slat foundation. Handles are coiled. Partial imbrication with designs in black/bullrush stripes with crabapple points, and also designs in crabapple/bullrush stripes with black protrusions. Top and bottom rims are beaded and the foot is partially imbricated.
