Large quartzite adze blade with grooved neck and large chip broken from blade. Good. The Accession Register entry reads A finely ground adze blade, wedge-shaped, with thick square-sided blade, the upper side of which is convex and curves to the square cutting edge; its flat under surface extends to the butt end: its upper surface, boldly convex, double-stepped and broadly channelled, is set back from the actual blade. J.Somerville 19/8/2005.'

Totem PoleZ 34967

Carved whale bone bearing a bird, two creatures, a frog and a human. On the reverse the bone is incised with concentric and chevron designs which appear to have been an earlier decoration since they have been removed where the carving has tapered and shaped the bone (G.Crowther).; Good

Totem Pole1927.250 B

A) Carved and painted wooden totem pole depicting an eagle, a killer whale and a frog. The pole is painted in red, green, yellow, and black. While the format of the pole is characteristic the style is not typical of the Northwest coast. However the bottom creature is reminiscent of Westcoast style masks (G.Crowther). B) Robust carved and painted wooden totem pole. The pole bears a killer whale and a bird, painted in black, red, green, blue and white. The style of carving is reminiscent of the Westcoast or Nootka (G.Crowther).; Good

Carved and painted wooden totem pole, with a raven, a human, an eagle and a killerwhale. The pole is painted in blue, green, black and red. The animals are represented more realistically than in the typical Northwest coast style. On the reverse of pole the price has been penciled, originally $2.50 the price was reduced to $2.00.; Good

Totem Pole1922.1068

Carved wooden totem pole with three creatures, a bear, a raven (?) with the sun or moon in its beak, and a humanoid with face painting. The pole is painted with red, green, blue and black , with the reverse and base being totally painted green. The pole is very similar in style to 22.1067 suggesting they are same carver' s work.; Good
