Washi samples mounted vertically on white, labelled and folded paper with 3-pointed leaf above scrolled 'm' watermark. Mounting paper folds in half with rectangular windows over 2 rectangular stenciled samples. Sample at top left is a series of heart shapes in alternating vertical rows facing down, then up. Each row alternates between dark yellow and red/brown hearts with a line at centre. Each is encircled, following shape in red/brown and connecting at sides with the next row. All on a near white ground. Sample at bottom is a series of circles touching each other at 4 sides. Alternating design of 4 petalled dark pink/red flowers with cross to black edge of circle with dark yellow centre on white with white detail, and many sided black shape with 4 points to dark pink/red circle edge on white with 12 sides white centre. Each encircled in white. Between circles are 8 petalled white flowers on a dark/pink ground.

Sample at top left is a series of overlapping circles in light white/brown with the centre of each in alternating rows of red/brown or black, then yellow. Each has a cross at the centre. Sample at bottom right is a series of interconnecting, slightly overlapping circles. The intersections are nearly white, the centres form diagonal rows of dark blue on blue alternating with yellow-green on blue. There is a star-burst in near white lines and dots from the centre of each.

Sample at top left is a diagonal pattern of bands running top right to bottom left; including dark blue bands with repeating white horizontal lines and vertical dashes; other bands are irregular white shapes divided by thin blue lines, appearing as stone walls and fish nets; central ones have irregular triangle shapes with a vertical central line crossing the band. There are house shapes in short horizontal rows across the 3 sets of lined bands, the central ones are upside down. Sample at bottom right has rows of evenly spaced rectangles filled with amorphous shapes alternating with various flower designs with dots at the corners, all in white on a green ground.

Sample is pictorial; white grey sheet torn in half, joined again by light brown pictorial inset of narrow boat bow on diagonal among green leaves and stalks. Inset's surface sprinkled with fine gold foil square pieces. Another dark brown inset sprinkled with gold and silver foil squares joins grey paper at base. Both grey pieces have faintly patterned surfaces in grey parallel curving lines arranged in waves, gold bird silhouettes, and on right side, two fishermen in boat.
