Fly whisk with carved wood handle, copper decoration, and tail of hair. Handle carved to represent a kneeling female figure with marks on her abdomen and shoulders. The figure has a very elongated face with cowrie-shell shaped eyes. Below the figure is a rope-like copper covering over the section where the hair is attached to the handle.
Male circumcision mask made of wood. Mask is oval-shaped, with the face concave. There are almond-shaped cutouts for eyes and mouth. A long, narrow nose extends down the length of the face, with a notched ridge down the bridge. The ears are slightly raised arrows. There are two drilled holes on either side of the jaw, and a single hole behind each ear with a twisted fibre string knotted through.
Rectangular cloth with beige plain weave fabric and cut-pile(?) embroidered geometric designs. The pattern is hexagonal or honeycomb-like, with each hexagon form filled with concentric shapes, and a centre that is either deep red or golden orange colour. The hexagons are outlined and divided by a dark brownish-grey line. Long fringe is knotted around entire cloth in alternating sections of dark brown and yellow-brown fibres. Two large safety pins are attached along one short end on the backside of the cloth.
Mask carved from a single piece of wood. Bulging forehead, prominent nose, and sunken cheeks. Cowrie shells and seedpods outline the face, and are arranged in decorative patterns. The face is covered by pounded copper sheeting with repoussé designs. Continuous lines of black beads extend horizontally across the face, around the eyes, down the bridge of the nose, and around the mouth. A large black beaded trident form on the forehead. The cheekbones and nostrils are heavily beaded in small black and white beads. Goat skin, goat hair, and raffia cloth embellish the top of the head. A woven strip hangs from the chin. The base of the mask is outlined by two rows of cowrie shells, with strings of large reddish-brown seedpods and feathers hanging down.
Female face mask. The face is carved of wood, and painted with sections of triangle designs or slanted lines. Black and white beading extends from the brow line down the ridge of the nose to the chin, with a single cowrie shell between the eyebrows. The lips are outlined in a string of beads in sections of blue and black. Attached to the mask is woven fibre, decorated with strings of cowrie shells and knotted plant fibre. A small raised form, wrapped in woven material, sits on the top of the head, with strings of various coloured beads hanging down from the form, and a cowrie shell at each end.
Bwami mask made of wood. The mask has a long and narrow face that comes to a point at the chin. Although faded, the left side of the face appears to have once been coloured red, and the right side white. The forehead protrudes at the centre, and then continues down into a long, narrow nose. Small rectangles are carved out for eyes and a mouth, and two small holes for nostrils. The ears and eyes are very close-set. A beard of plant fibre is attached to six holes through the jaw line. The fibre is partially plaited, creating a solid band with long strands extending down. A single thin string is attached to the mask behind each ear.
Heavily pleated skirt. The waist is a heavy beige material. The skirt is beige at top, using two different weights of fabric, and then dyed indigo with beige patterns within below. There are two thin ribbons of solid red and small ribbons of white with mutlicoloured diamonds within. The next section is a blue, loose weave with yellow, white and red cross-stitch as well as ribbons of red and white stripes horizontal. The hem of the skirt is a wide band of solid beige. There is a single metal zipper and hook clasp at waist.
Rectangular deep red textile with long fringe on the short edges. Fringe is repeating small sections of black, white, orange, and eggplant purple. The textile is embroidered with vine-like and sun-like designs using the same repeated spade design. The centre has a large sun design with four smaller sun designs around it, and a vine extending from each corner of the inner rectangle. The out rectangle has four smalls suns along both ends, and angled vine designs down the length.
Small burgundy rectangular textile with embroidered flowers in white, orange, yellow and blue, and green vines and leaves. Designs divided by outer green rectangle, inner orange rectangle, and white circle at centre. Edged with blue-green fabric and fringe, which alternates between sections of dark purple, blue, yellow, green, orange and white, and is loosely plaited together. Backed with a beige with red stripe fabric.
Rectangular cover in a light brownish-pink silk, embroidered with heart, vine-like and triangular designs. Three concentric rectangles with circle at centre in brass metal thread. Small mirror decorations. Edged with fringe in alternating sections of green, orange, red, dark blue or purple with beaded ends. Each corner has a roundel with flower design of cowrie shells with metal centre, and tassels extending out in silk and metal threads.
