Painting on thin canvas. Horizontal panel bordered by finely inked spade-like shapes on a solid light yellow background, and separated from the body by a solid red line. The panel has two rows of figures across it. The bottom right corner appears to have three women in front of a tree with Shiva(?). There are three demons(?) figures, with wide round eyes, in each upper corner, and a male figure at centre below a tree.

Container3311/1

Container made from a gourd. Small hollowed-out gourd capped with a circular plug; the plug has a pig tusk extending out of the top. Woven plant fibre wraps around the neck of the gourd in a repeating v-style design, alternating between dark and light browns and bordered by bands of dark brown.

Knife3329/1 a-c

Long knife (part a), with a small knife (pisau raut; part b), and scabbard (part c). The knife blade is convex on one side and slightly concave on the other side, and is decorated with inlaid brass in a series of circles and vines. The blade itself gets gradually wider and then tapers in forming a point in line with the cutting edge. The grip is wrapped with finely woven fibre. The hilt of horn is elaborately carved, with red pigment in the lines, and has two drilled holes for an attachment. The whittling knife (part b) has a small curved blade of steel, with a brass cap marked with illegible text. The shaft is of a dark brown wood which transitions into alternating rings of horn and wood. The slightly curved hilt is elaborately carved. The scabbard is composed of a wood sheath for the sword, and an attached bark sheath for the knife. The wood sheath is composed of two pieces of wood, bound together by woven plant fibre and animal skin. The locket(?) is ornately carved. There is a long carrying strap of plaited plant fibre, and an ornament of shell and thin tassels with beads of pink, blue, green, red and yellow.

Tumpline3328/2

Long woven tumpline with repeating geometric pattern. Design is of repeated triangles, in light purple and red or burgundy, which form V-shapes and lines with a yellow background. Each end is finished with alternating bands of heathered black and light green, which tapers to warp fibres that are braided to create the carrying straps. Knots have been tied at both ends.

Walking Stick3316/1 a-b

Carved and painted wooden walking stick. Broken into two pieces - top portion (part a) and lower portion (part b). The grip is bulbous, and extends down into a carved shaft. The figures from top to bottom - killer whale (dorsal fin goes up, forehead, pectoral fin), upside-down eagle (wing comes out, feathers fold over the other feathers), bear, wolf, human head, small animal (bird?) which is being consumed by a sea or snake-like creature, whose scaled body extends down to the tip of the cane.
