Painted drum with a painted design of a bullhead fish. Round drum made of deer hide tightly stretched over a yellow cedar ring. The hide extends around the bottom of the ring where it is fastened to itself by 6 strands of sinew that extend out from the hide and meet in the centre where they are attached to a small piece of antler that also serves as a holder while the drum is being played. The painted image on the face of the drum is a black and red stylized fish with a forked tail, small black dorsal fin, three barbel-like extensions above its two large eyes and an open mouth displaying a set of sharp, pointed teeth.
Medium size, glazed vase with a low, round body and a tall, cylindrical neck. The exterior glaze is mainly dark grey with stripes of light blue, light green and light pink. The rim of the neck is light pink crackle glaze. The interior of the neck is black. There are script-like designs around the body and neck. DEXTER inscribed on base.
Irregular square, thick-walled vase, narrow in profile and open through the centre with an irregular shape connecting the top and base at the mid-way point. Small rectangular opening at top. Front, back, and interior surfaces are covered with a light grey-blue glaze, and the narrow sides are an unglazed orange. Bottom is a light grey tan. All surfaces, glazed and unglazed, are covered in brown spots of varying sizes and shapes. DEXTER inscribed on base.
Large, tall, round vase with painted and glazed designs on the exterior surface. The rim is flat with a small inset opening. The interior is unglazed and of a light brown-white. The exterior is decorated with bands of white crackle glaze, dark grey and light green paint. There are curvilinear, black and green script-like designs both painted and incised around the exterior surface of the vase. DEXTER inscribed on base.
Medium size deep bowl with straight edges and an unglazed light grey foot. The high shine glaze on the exterior and interior surfaces is bright blue-green with brown speckles, and there are copper-brown abstract shapes around the exterior. There is a circular copper-brown glaze stripe around the foot. DEXTER inscribed on base.
Wide, low, round dish with a flat bottom, curved edges and an unglazed light grey circular foot. The exterior glaze black and dark brown. The interior glaze is an irregularly cracked light green with abstract shapes in a light grey. In the cracked areas the under glaze is a dark grey. The glaze on the rim is a copper orange colour. Wide, low, round dish with a flat bottom, straight edges and an unglazed light grey circular foot. The interior glaze is a speckled grey-blue with darker blue abstract shapes on the bottom across the centre. The exterior glaze is a light grey with white speckles. DEXTER inscribed on base.
Wide, low, round dish with a flat bottom, curved edges, and a circular foot. The exterior is an unglazed grey and the interior surface has blue and grey glaze depicting an abstract human figure amid a background of thick white slip. DEXTER inscribed on base.
Medium sized, high-shine glazed bowl with curved edges and an unglazed light grey foot. The exterior glaze is dark black-brown progressing to a lighter brown towards the base. The interior glaze is red with black and dark brown designs. The rim is copper, black and light green. DEXTER inscribed on base.
Loosely woven square cedar bark basket with a detached handle (part b). The loose weave pattern is achieved by crossing the warp series in open twined work. On the walls of the basket the cedar warps criss-cross diagonally, fitting between the thinner and widely spaced weft. The base of the basket is made of thicker strips of cedar in a checkerboard pattern. The handle is short and braided.
