Pipe2948/135 a-b

Cylindrical bamboo pipe in two parts. The larger piece (part a) has a red brown bottom end. The top half of part a is red brown progressing to yellow with vertical brown grooves. The middle part of part a is decorated with an engraved design. The inside of the pipe is filled with a type of dried grass. The smaller pipe (part b) has two small grey green ends and a long yellow brown middle.

Flat carving made from a single piece of wood. Profile of a human figure sitting with elbow propped on the knee and chin resting on the hand. The head is large with prominent brow, simple carved eyes, an accentuated nose with carved out nostril, and a carved mouth. The figure is sitting on a hollow, jagged triangular shape pointing downward.

Carving2948/130

Small, flat, wooden carving made from a single piece of wood. The surface has a slightly rough texture. One end of the carving is a circular shape and there is a central line incised on the surface around the circumference. A section of the circular portion is missing, possibly broken, so that it is open to the centre. The other end of the carving is narrower and elongated, a two-pronged shape with one prong curved and the other straight. A circular shape and two triangular shapes pointing toward each other are carved near the large circular end.

Comb2948/129

Brown comb carved from a single piece of wood. The handle is carved into a long half-oval shape that is slightly wider than the comb end. There is a small hole bored through the top of the handle off to one side. There are eight tines of mostly even size except for two on one side. The surface is uneven, with parallel groves running vertically down it and uneven texture and colour on the back.

Comb2948/127

Brown comb carved from a single piece of wood. Surface is fairly smooth with some subtle grooves in texture. The handle of the comb is carved into a curved rectangular shape that is wider than the rest of the comb. There is a small square-shaped protrusion carved on the very top of the handle. There are four tines of uneven height but fairly even width and alignment.

Necklace2948/124

Closed necklace made from bamboo and seed ornaments. A section of bamboo is split in two and hangs vertically down the centre of the necklace. Both sections of bamboo are place side by side and maintained together with three small fibre strings tied at the back of the ornament. On each side of the necklace there is a row of ten small, oval, brown seeds. Two fibre strings knotted together close the top of the necklace.
