Round, woven cedar basket, straight sided. The basket is made of cedar slats wrapped with cedar root, with two intertwining rows of wrapped looping along the rim. The exterior is decorated with diagonal lines of triangles in light brown, red and dark brown.
Rectangular woven cedar basket with attached lid. Basket is made with cedar root wrapped around an under-structure of cedar slats. The exterior is decorated with red, light brown and dark brown imbrication in a large zigzag pattern. The lid is attached to the basket with two hide thongs on one of the longer sides. It is decorated with a pattern of imbricated squares in the same colour as that on the body. There are two hide ties attached to the front of the basket and the edge of the lid to tie it closed.
Round woven cedar basket with lid (part b). Basket wall is straight and flares slightly from bottom toward top. The exterior is decorated with four vertical lines of inverted triangles, three to a line. The rim is decorated with short horizontal lines of imbrication at intervals. The lid is coiled, with a large coiled knob at centre. It is decorated with ‘V’ shapes of black imbrication and has an inset rim that fits inside the basket.
Rectangular woven cedar basket, with flat slightly oval lid (part b) that fits tightly inside the rim. The basket is made of cedar slats wrapped with cedar root, cherry bark (red and black) and grass imbrication designs on all sides and lid. The lid has eight separate 'butterfly' designs; the long sides have a large central design surrounded by four small crosses, while each end repeats the main design. The central design is a widened star-like design with four side points, with wider, squared-off top and bottom points. The lid has a short lip; the base of the basket is almost flat.
Round woven cedar basket. Basket is coiled in construction and is narrow at the base, flaring slightly toward the rim. The exterior is decorated with red, light brown and dark brown imbrication in three six-sided star motifs. Imbrication also decorates the rim.
Sterling silver dogfish brooch or pendant (part a). Full repousse dogfish face, with rolled edges all around the inside; deeply sculpted, with engraved gill slits on forehead and cheeks. The pendant has an enclosed hook on the back for the chain, as well as a pin for wearing as a brooch.The inscription reads: "Reid 74". Part b is a silver link chain 61.3 cm in length, when extended. Round ceramic pot has a coiled rim and a bulbous body with a rounded bottom. Two pointed handles with holes in the centres emerge high on either side of the mouth. A small oblong hole pierces the body near the base. A small amount of white residue clings to the interior bottom.
Terracotta rattle in the shape of an animal. Animal has a long narrow body, rounded, with a thick tail that curves slightly at the tip. The head is long and quite flat, with eyes set high and a snout with large indented nostrils and a wide mouth. Four short, wide feet support the object. The rattle is decorated extensively with black lines circling tail, neck and legs, emphasizing facial features, and in rectangles across the torso. Holes are bored into the instrument on both sides of the neck, at mid-stomach, and under the tail. A soft rattling sound is made when the rattle is moved.
Terracotta pot with three legs. A small mouth widens into a bulbous body with a rounded bottom. The neck is painted with three encircling rings of pattern showing interlocking colour blocks, lines and circles. Elaborate creatures are painted on the body. The three legs of the pot are circular and hollow with an oblong slash cut into each, through which you can see a small clay ball that rattles when the object is moved.
Small ceramic pot with three legs in the shape of an animal, possibly a bird. A narrow mouth and neck contain protruding ears and a triangular snout with teeth. The bulbous body has a small wing on both sides and a thick, slightly forked tail at the rear. The body is decorated with faded, encircling red lines. The legs are conical in shape.
