Miniature clay kitchen scene inside a wood and glass case. Three small female figures, one behind the stove, one by a large grinding stone and the other near the large table, stand inside a blue kitchen with walls covered with shelves and colourful yellow, orange, green and white pots and pans. The front and top of the case is glass that is attached to the brown painted wood walls with orange and brown adhesive paper.
Toy or model clay stove (a) with a large cooking pot (b), small cooking pot (c) and jug (d). Orange clay is decorated with splashes of white paint; two pots have green glaze around their rims, the third has a band of brown paint. Stove has three circular opening at top and an arched opening in front at base.
Toy rooster, with flaring tail feathers and small pointed face, is made of cut and bent sheet of tin. Upper side is painted a mottled gray onto which eyes and decorative circles and lines have been hand painted in acrylic blue, creamy white, red , orange and black.
Toy consisting of a flying bird on wheels and long, thick wire metal handle. Bird is made of patterned green, black and beige material which is stitched, glued and wound around wire and attached to two wire wheels that are wrapped with red material. When the toy is pushed along with the handle, the turning wheels cause the bird to flap its wings.
Washer woman pull toy. A female figure with long braids tied up in green wool bows, holds a flat wood beater in her hands and leans over a wood washing board that slopes to the floor, A long white string hangs from the waist of her wooden body (under her long orange skirt) down through a hole in the flat base; when it is pulled, the figure bends forward and the beater moves down the board.
Small male rag doll with stuffed head, torso and legs, and rolled material arms. Made entirely of various red scraps of material, only the stitched eyes and brows are black. He wears a red beret, pants, shirt and shawl, wide waist band, and has a large, darker red flower on his chest.
Ceramic toy used to celebrate the Day of the Dead. A light yellow horse (a), with details of eyes, mane, tail and stripes painted in brown, stands on a hollow mustard yellow pedestal with supporting post beneath its belly. On a post in its back is mounted a skeleton (b) made of painted yellow and brown clay with bendable coiled-metal neck, arms and legs.
Light coloured wood bird nailed onto a base with four wheels attached. Roughly carved figure stands on pronged pedestal-like legs with slightly open beak pointing upwards and tail point downwards. All features on the body, the chevrons on the base and the spokes on the wheels are painted on in red and brown.
Knitted doll (finger puppet ?) of famous Argentinean soccer player, Diego Maradona. The blue, white, black and beige wool figure is a knitted tube with legs and arms, stuffed feet and head and it is holding a stuffed soccer ball in one hand. There is an opening in the back at the neck of the shirt and a loop at the top of the head.
Wooden jaguar puppet on strings. Lower legs are attached to upper legs with metal staples, the legs and tail are nailed to the body, the moveable head with leather ears tied on with a thin white rope, all of which are attached with long strings to a small wood bar. White paws, black body stripes, open red mouth with large white teeth, and beady black and white eyes are painted.
