One waistband is larger than the other, both are stiffened with long ties extending from each end. The full pant legs are pleated into the waistbands. Basting stitches are still visible. The inside is lined with dark blue cotton.

Grey BirdNa924

Print depicting a large grey bird with its wings spread. Its tail and wing feathers are black-tipped, and it has yellow claws. The name of the printmaker is stamped in Inuit syllabics along with the Cape Dorset stylized red igloo seal in the lower left-hand corner. Below the image is written, "Grey Bird Lithograph 21/40 Dorset Pitaloosee 1977," as well as the name of the artist in Inuit syllabics. The Canadian Eskimo Arts Council's blind embossed stamp is in the lower right-hand corner.

Black torso armour. The armour consists of two main pieces that wrap around the chest, hinged on the left and tied on the right. On the upper back are two padded prongs that rest beside the neck and on the shoulders. On the upper front is a two-tiered neck guard strung with green cord. On the lower front right is a green fabric pocket tacked onto the amour.

Two rectangular panels with embroidery and attached borders (part a-b). The identical panels have multicoloured stripes in a geometric pattern, predominantly purple on black ground. Flanking the stripes are embroidered and attached borders. Along one edge is an embroidered border with a bird motif within blocks. Along the opposite edge is an attached border with large bird and butterfly motifs, predominantly purple with multicoloured detail. Part (b) also has a paper cover sewn over the attached border. The back is unlined.

Wooden wolf headdress with small bundles of branches tied to the top and long fabric ties hanging from the inside. The mask is rectangular in shape with a slight tapering at the snout; face is depicted on the sides. The nostril, teeth and top head form are cutout with stylized lines. The mask is painted in red, white, black and green with stylized forms. The inside has two rectangular pieces of wood that hold the box shaped mask together. The bottom section is lined with a thin and worn piece of fabric.
