Scope And Content

Fonds contains correspondence, a daily journal, survey forms, artifact logs, maps, notes, photograph logs and related material from Robert S. Kidd's survey, conducted in the summer of 1963, of the Lower Fraser. The survey was jointly funded by the University of British Columbia and the National Museum. Kidd was assisted in his efforts by Derek Smith, an archaeology student at UBC. The Lower Fraser Survey 1963 fonds consists of eight series: survey forms, artifact catalogue and drawings, photograph records, notes, correspondence, maps, background material, and photographs.
