Description

Wooden mask carved with a heavy brow and straight nose and protruding mouth and lips. The eyes are cut out and surrounded by a slight step. Black paint has been used to accentuate the broad eyebrows and the lips, the rest of the mask is unpainted.; Good

The almost V-shaped cross section of this mask suggests an alternative provenance of Nootka or Nuu-Chah-Nulth but this is only a tentative suggestion (G.Crowther).
