LOAN RETURNED NOV 25 1988."Karen Anderson (Nuxalk elder) and Ian Reid (Heiltsuk) of the delegation from Bella Bella, Bella Coola and Rivers Inlet communities of British Columbia made these comments during the Recovering Voices Community Research Visit May 20th - 24th, 2013. This is a medicine man's rattle. The medicine man won't shake it, but they'll move it in a way that creates a 'washing' sound. This piece has a classic northern style - especially the slanted eyes. It is similar to the Tlingit and Tsimshian style.
