Description

Men's loose fitting blue-grey wool tunic. The tunic has high standing collar, v-neck and long cuffed sleeves. The tunic hangs straight from the shoulders in front, is semi-fitted in back above the waist, and flared below the waist by means of triangular inserts. There are bands of red, yellow and green on the collar, neckline, upper back, cuffs and bottom hem. The collar is lined with burgundy patterned cotton; the rest is unlined.

History Of Use

Woolen tunics are worn in the summer, fur in the winter. Women's tunics and men's tunics differ little in design, but women's tunics are longer and sometimes collarless, while men's usually have a stand-up collar. Men's tunics are belted below the waist, women's at the waist.
