Dark brown fabric bag with cross-stitch embroidery (tatreez تطريز). Embroidery is mainly red with some multicoloured areas. The sides of the bag are finished in red, pink and blue twisted yarn, and the bottom edge is ornamented with a row of multicoloured beads as well as seven tassels alternating between neon red and white, camel, dark purple and neon green. A second row of multicoloured beads and six tassels in neon orange, white, 2 neon red, black and neon green, are attached midway up the body on the front, and twisted orange and red yarn strands extend from the tip of the bag's flap.
Made from worn-out dress material.
Purchased by the donor at a roadside Bedouin market, en route from Jericho to "Sdom", in 1971.
