Description

Drawing on horizontal rectangular sheet of light beige paper. In the centre of the image is a man wearing sealskin clothing and holding a knife in his right hand. He is holding something of wood in his left hand. To the upper left is an inuksuk. Below the inuksuk is a tripod of wood holding a sealskin float to dry. To the right of the man is a sealskin tent with the door open. The tent poles consist of two long pieces of wood and a kakivak. The entire image is framed by tools. At top left is a spear, at top right a bird spear. The right side has a large sea mammal harpoon and harpoon head. The left side has a kayak paddle. The bottom shows a kayak.

Narrative

Part of a 3 piece series. The drawing is titled "Kingnait nunavumit anguti asinipalaupu qajakat sinitapasutik"--however the first two words mean 'Cape Dorset Nunavut' so they may not be part of the actual title; the third word is 'man.'
