Description

String puppet of a devil character. He wears a wool button-up jacket with fur collar and cuffs. A red belt is tied at his waist. He wears black and off-white gingham pants that end at his calves and are edged with fur bands. His left foot wears a tall black boot and his right foot is bare, revealing an oversized human-like foot with a dark red-brown hairy leg. He has a large goat head with two red horns extending back from the top of his head and a third smaller horn extending up from the snout. The mouth is filled with teeth including large, separately carved canine teeth. The jaw and tongue are both hinged and movable. His black hair comes to three points at the forehead, and a fan extends down the centre of his head. Under his chin is a beard. His hands, legs and face are carved with his right hand posed like it should be grasping something. Puppet is moved by a metal control rod with a wooden crossbeam, with strings attached to head, shoulders, hands and knees.The metal control stick has dettached at the head.
