Brown birch bark basket with an oval-shaped top and a square bottom. Birch bark is bent and laced into place. A twig splint around the rim is closely overcast for reinforcement, with several bands of crabapple (?) bark beaded in. Geometrical design is scratched on: two rows of scallops bordering chevron strip. Darker part of bark is to the outside. The overcasting is mainly thin strips of natural coloured root (?) with strips of black dyed root (five stitches wide) - two on ends and two on sides. Only the side portions of the natural root overcasting is beaded in a 1:1 ratio.
