Money2534/1

Shell pendant attached in two places to a wide woven band which tapers at ends. Band has a cowrie shell at each end close to where it is attached with knots through holes in the kina shell. Shell has a deep cresent shape with rounded ends. Entire object is covered with a red pigment, although back of shell shows some original colouring. Paper sticker on front.

Nebet Miale Tata2523/3

Mask is circular in shape with one rounded end and one pointed end (overlapping underneath the head), and is made out of earth. It has brown-red, white, and light white-brown painted sections. It has a black painted face, white eyes with black pupils, a projecting nose, and a brown mouth with six painted teeth. At either side of the mouth is a long tooth projecting upwards. A long piece of grass(?) is attached at the top of the head.

Ritual Mask2523/2

Mask with projecting eye ridges and a projecting nose with two circular, white nostrils on either side, and a base painted white. The head is cone-shaped. Red triangles project from the top of the head at the front. It is painted green and black on one side with a white stripe. The right side is painted red with a white stripe and a border of alternating black and white triangles.

Ritual Mask2523/1

Oval-shaped ritual mask with a hole for a mouth and overhanging white eye lids. There is a white and black stripe bordering red parts of the mask. At the peak of a projection is a large, red teardrop-shaped piece. It is outlined in black and white. Attached around the rim of the mask are long, hair-like fibres.

Tapa Cloth2533/4

Rectangular-shaped tapa cloth covered with repeating geometric designs. Single-line border encloses three lengthwise rows of six repeating patterns, all in black and ochre. One row is diamonds, the second has circular designs, the last has a design of overlapping four-pointed stars. Each repeating pattern is in a square with symmetrical quadrants.

Small oblong, double-layered, painted tapa. Reddish-brown geometric/leaf design which fills a rectangular area, leaving an irregular undecorated border around the edges. It appears there are two identically-patterned tapas attached together in the layers.

Black beard on a metal frame. Around the 'u' shaped frame is wound a brown fibre. Three sections of long black fibres are woven into the brown fibre, on each side and along the bottom.
