Headdress849/2 a-d

A headdress (part a) made of inlaid iridescent bright blue and darker blue-purple kingfisher feathers outlined with metal in a floral pattern. Also decorated with red, green, and white pompoms. The veil is strands of long white beads accentuated with red and green beads. A metal rectangle (part b) has come unhinged from the headdress. There is a dark blue feather (part c) and a turquoise feather (part d) which were in a folded piece of paper containing the manufacturer's information.

Jacket1057/3

Hide jacket with bead work and fringe. The jacket has a short standing collar, long cuffed sleeves and centre opening with hook and eye closures. On the front is a deep ‘U’ shape beneath the collar with a beaded floral motif on black appliqué fabric. There are two pockets on the lower front. There are beaded patches on the front, pockets, shoulders and upper back. Patches include floral motifs, fish skeleton and rectangular shapes. There is fringe on the ‘U’ shape, sleeves and upper back. There are braids of brown hair attached to the back of each shoulder. The inside is unlined.

Doll Head1057/12

The head of a doll (see record for 1057/11 for the doll body shown in image). The face is painted white with grey eyebrows, black diagonal eyes, rosy cheeks, and a red mouth. The hair is painted black. The ears have gold earrings, above which, at the side of the head, there is a rectangular olive green patch of fabric with a green and white centred pink flower(?), and a red diamond or scallop shape. The elaborate gold-coloured headdress is decorated with coiled metal wires with black beads and shimmering dark blue-green beads along the front.

Doll1057/8

The body of a doll (see record for 1057/14 for the doll head shown in image). The skin is painted pink. Doll wears a yellow robe that has an elaborately embroidered lower front panel design consisting of a red and green dragon. The sleeves are embroidered with a red and green dragon along the back of each. The back panel has a simple embroidered design. The upper front panel is purple embroidered with a floral pattern and edged with grey fur. The shoes are made of purple fabric. There is a wide circular blue belt decorated with mirrors that have a gold-coloured outline.

Doll1057/10 a-b

Two-piece doll. The head (part b) is painted pink with light black eyebrows, dark black diagonally slanted eyes, rosy cheeks, and a red mouth. There is an elaborate black, and gold-coloured flat angular headdress that folds over with green, blue, and red decorations, creating a triangular look from the side. There is a metal hook at the bottom of the neck. The body (part a) is dressed in an elaborately embroidered off-white robe decorated with an image of a man in a garden edged in fur, above which there is a green, and gold-coloured panel. The sleeves have a floral pattern. The shoes have a pattern. There are light blue leggings underneath.
