Rectangular-shaped burden basket that tapers slightly towards the bottom. The base of the basket is missing. The basket is decorated with alternating rows of horizontally stitched black and reddish-brown cherry bark. Near the top of the basket, there are evenly spaced sections of black coloured cherry bark stitching. Near the base, there are evenly spaced sections of red and black cherry bark stitches that are in vertical rows of two.

The pattern consists of two arrows with a diamond in centre then two other arrows, and there are three such patterns in each row in different colours. The one-ply handspun weft has a looped finish on one end and over-hand knots on the other. The warp is five-ply machine-made wool.
