Container1060/7

Carved container of wood with a hinged lid. The bottom section is in the shape of a canoe and rests on a base of two horizontal wooden bars; interior is hollowed out. Lid is carved in the form of a grouse; on one wing is a hinge that attaches the lid to the base and on the other is a hook clasp to hold the container shut. A small metal handle is attached to the middle of the bird's back. Lettering on the clasp side reads "Indian Dance Rattle" in black ink.

Fish Hook1060/31

The fish hook is white-yellow in colour and has brown fibre cording bunched together and attached at the narrow end of the hook through two holes. Above the holes, there is a blue circular stone(?) inlay that is raised slightly against the hook's surface. The wider end of the fish hook has a metal hook protruding from its base. On both sides of the wider side of the fish hook there is a row of three grey stone inlays, one of which is missing. On the underside of the hook at the wider end, there are two blue stone(?) inlays, and directly below is a circular metal inlay which is the underside of the metal hook from the top. Below that, there is a larger T-shaped stone inlay that has two lines extending to the right and left of the base.

Moccasins1060/71 a-b

Pair of child’s moccasins with central eagle design and geometric patterns beaded over the toe. Done in light blue, dark blue, red and yellow. Moccasins are white with an extended, overturned brown rim, and a long, narrow tongue with a lace on either side of it.

Neck Ring1060/63

A cylindrical round coil with white beads all around and a design at both ends. The designed ends consist of lime green diamond-shapes in a black background rimmed with red. One end has a loop of lime green, black, red, and blue beads with a conical metal button. The middle part of the belt has a design which consists of blue diamond-shapes in a black background, rimmed with red.

Sword1060/54

Long wooden sword with handle and tip that is bound with leaf material. Long edge of sword is lined with twenty-nine shark teeth attached to each side. Each tooth is perforated at the wider end and is secured to the long wooden piece with black and light-brown twisted fibre.
