Knowledge shared by institutions

Tom Moses was a WWII vet from the Mission Reserve in North Vancouver. During the 1950s and 60s he often sold his model poles along Lonsdale Avenue (North Vancouver) to local shop owners, some of whom accumulated large collections. The Tomahawk Barbeque, also in North Vancouver, had numerous pieces by Moses in their collection. The figures he incorporated wearing feather headdresses reflect the period when such regalia was commonly seen in local powwows.
