Wang is a seventh generation master lineage holder in a long line of huashi. He specializes in Daoist and Buddhist figural paintings of popular deities, a type of painting called 'gongbi hua'. The Wang family paintings were sold to local printmakers, who mass-produced the designs as woodblock prints for New Year festivities. Wang's paintings are in the collection of the Mianzhu New Year Pictures Museum and the National Arts and Crafts Museum of China.
