Ron Sebastian, a member of the Wolf Clan, was born on route to Prince Rupert. He developed an interest in art when he was nine years old. Through Joe Sebastian, his uncle, he learned the principals of carving totem poles and masks. In 1970, Ron Sebastian attended the Kitanmax School of Northwest Coast Indian Art in 'Ksan were he continued his interest in carving and design. His jewelry works are very popular; in his prints he uses the traditional 'Ksan style and often shows the legends of his people. Three carved murals are represented in the main lobby of the Indian and Northern Affairs building in Hull, in which Sebastian and fellow artist Earl Muldoe carved. He has also worked with his younger brother Robert. His work can be found in collections in Canada, United States, Europe, and Japan.
