Martha Noah (Ilumigayuk) has resided in Baker Lake since 1962. Working primarily with her artist husband William Noah, Martha has participated in the print making programme since it first began in Baker Lake in 1970. Her early work primarily uses the stencil technique and in 1973 she began combining this with stonecut. Besides the many drawings by her husband which she has translated into prints, she has also made prints from drawings by Anguhadluq, Avaalaaqiaq, Ikseetaryuk, Qarliksaq, Mamnguqsualuk and others. She frequently signs her work with her maiden name, Ilumigayuk, in syllabics.
