Born in 1928, she married carver Nicholas Kringayark in 1942. Their daughters, Martha Ulliyak Milortok and Simona Kringayark are also carvers. Isserkut's work has been featured in many exhibitions. In 1979 one of her soapstone drum dancer sculptures was featured in the third Canada Post Inuit series of stamps (on the 17 cent stamp).
