William "Bill" Marshall was an English studio potter. In 1934 he became the Leach Pottery's first apprentice, and over the next 43 years (other than 1942-1947) he progressed to foreman, and by the 1950s had developed his own style of pottery. In 1977 he left the Leach Pottery to set up his own pottery in Lelant.
