Chief Willie Mack was a Nuxalk hereditary chief from the village of Nusq’lst (Upper Bella Coola Valley). Chief William Mack was father to hereditary Chief James Mack Sr., Alvin Mack, and grandfather to Alvin’s sons Lyle, Rueben, and Brandon. Willie Mack's father was Samson Mack; Samson was one of the sons of Mary Samson and Willie Mack (c. 1875/77 - 1923); Mack was the son of John Clayton and a Nuxalk woman, Q'uit.
