Lillian French RNBC (neé Lucey), worked as a nurse and teacher in various communities in British Columbia, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories from the late 1930s to the 1960s, including Alert Bay and Port Simpson, BC, Old Crow, YT and Fort MacPherson, NWT. She was also a member of the Anglican Church Women’s Auxiliary. During her career, she collected many examples of 'Native handicrafts', many of which she received as gifts from her pupils and patients.
