Campbell was born in Prince Rupert B.C., but her parents originate from Telegraph Creek on the Stikine River and she is a member of the wolf clan. In 1972 she began an apprenticeship with Tahltan carver Dempsey Bob and also worked with artists Freda Diesing and Glen Wood. She specializes in carving totem poles and masks, but also works with metals. In 1982 she was one of the carvers of a 30' totem pole carved for the Museum of Northern B.C. in Prince Rupert.
