Zoila Xchel Cent (Ramirez), is a master weaver. She has given several presentations on Maya weaving in schools and colleges, and at Simon Fraser University. She is a past president of the Mayan Education and Cultural Society in Vancouver, which funds scholarships for Maya secondary school students in western Guatemala.
