Aaron Nelson Moody is a Squamish carver practicing and living in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has exhibited in many galleries including ones at the West Vancouver Museum and the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art. Moody has explored many different artistic mediums, and participates in various projects such as teaching workshops, storytelling, and lecturing. He graduated from the Northwest Coast Jewellery Arts program at the Native Education College of Vancouver in 2008.
Moody helped carve the door for the Canada House at the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics. One of Moody’s most noted works is his carved reproduction of a Squamish spindle whorl from the collections of the Burke Museum in 2007, which was later given to the Squamish Nation.
