In the early 1950s, Dr. Bruno Schober managed the Institute of Medical Physics at the re-established Olomouc University, Czechoslovakia. In 1954, he was appointed deputy associate professor. From 1958-1960, he was the Dean of Faculty of Medicine. He wrote a medical physics university textbook, which became the basis for the nationwide textbook published in 1962 by the National Health Publishers. In 1965, Dr. Schober was appointed assistant professor at a new medical facility in Oran, Algeria, and decided not to return to Czechoslovakia. Later, Dr. Schober formed the Department of Nuclear Medicine at the Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver.
